Malaysian Parliament

Malaysian Parliament is a legal body of a national Malaysia. It is a Westminster based legislative body adopted by Malaysia after achieving independence from Britain in 1957.

According to the Parliament's official website, the Parliament complex was envisioned by Malaya's first chief Minister Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj and the nation was then known as the Federation of Malaya.

The building symbolise Malaysia as a democratic nation. This building structure is very unique! The entire building is covered by heat and light-absorbing glass. The amount of sunlight entering the building is controlled by enveloping the building with carved ornamental patterns or 'kerawang' made from local concrete which had been installed piece by piece. The beehive-shaped 'kerawang' is what gives the building its unique look! -Bernama

The High Dynamic Range this time, is very lucky to have an unforgettable shots of Malaysian Parliament's building!

The building is beautified with plants and animals. I've heard that there are rare species of trees, such as berlian, mata kuching, berangan, nam-nam, selarat and tamar which were specially imported from Saudi Arabia, harmoniously decorated the area! Wow!!! ^_^

Dataran Merdeka Kuala Lumpur

Merdeka Square (also called Dataran Merdeka, the Independence Square, the Padang and the Selangor Club Padang) is located right in the fabulous city of Kuala Lumpur. It was originally part of the Royal Selangor Club's cricket field but was changed into a landmark when it was used to announce Malaysia's independence day in 1957.

The field is often used for tourist and national celebrations. The Royal Selangor Club is still in operation today which located in front of the field.

*and still the excellent High Dynamic Range (HDR) will be the absolute moments for you to experience the famous world of Kuala Lumpur !

As a reminder of independence day, a 95-metre flagpole, one of the highest in the world, marks that spot with a flat, square marble base to commemorate the event.

Some of the most important colonial buildings of the British administration congregate around Dataran Merdeka.
