Putrajaya Water Sport Complex (Kompleks Sukan Air Putrajaya) is located at the centre of Putrajaya city, Malaysia. Similar to Putrajaya Lake, it is designed to act as a natural cooling system for the city and also for recreation, water sports and water transport. This water sport complex has been explored for so many times in hosting the sports events locally and internationally.
One of the major event which holds Putrajaya Water Sport Complex as the main location for water sport is Putrajaya Dragon Boat Festival. It was held on 5 June 2009. The spectacular event was successfully crowded by 1,500 participants from 30 local teams and 20 foreign teams-from China, Singapore, Indonesia, Britain, Vietnam, Japan, Thailand and Philippines. The festival has put Malaysia on the map as a dragon boat racing destination.
This kind of event potentially set a platform of international standard for foreign investors to see Putrajaya not only as Malaysia's administrative capital but also as a centre with a capacity large enough to host such a significant international event. Besides, it also a great way to promote the beautifully landscaped city of Putrajaya as an ideal tourist centre to an international audience at the same time.
In fact, my High Dynamic Range's eyes hushed me breezily to enjoy the scenery around the Putrajaya Water Sport Complex! Enjoy! ^_^
